What’s Your Opinion?

! teen-paranormal-romanceHey guys…Edgar here…we’re thinking of making some changes here in the library, and we want to know what you think. Should we separate all the fiction into genres? (That means we put all the Sci Fi books together, all the Supernatural books together, all the Sports books together, all the Romances together, etc.)   It’s a big move, but we want to know what you think. Would you like the fiction section better if it had sections like they do in the bookstore?  Let us know!  Just come to the library and talk to Ms. Preble…she’ll write down your vote and keep track of what everybody says. More later

Read a Creepy Book

Halloween’s just around the corner…you can tell because everything is pumpkin-flavored. If you’d like to take advantage of the cooler weather and a warm cup of pumpkin goop, what better way to relax than with a book that will scare the pumpkin out of you? Come to the library and check out some of our creepy books, specially picked to keep you up at night wondering if zombies will eat your face (hopefully, it tastes like pumpkin.)

We’ve got your usual favorites, like Stephen King and Dean Koontz, but we also have some new scary stuff. Remember R.L. Stine? He has a brand new book out,A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S SCREAM,  written just for high school students. midsummerAnd of course, you can always check out the classics, like THE EXORCIST… but don’t read it before you go to bed. You might not get to sleep!

If your scares run more toward zombies, we have the ROT & RUIN series by friend of the library Jonathan Maberry (he’s coming back for a visit pretty soon! Stay posted!)  Or if your taste runs more toward vampires, we have the Richelle Mead Vampire Academy series to freak you out.

Check your library displays for some fantastically terrifying stuff. And stay posted for more hauntings…plus, come and see my rockin’ Halloween costume! (Hint: I have three extra eyes).

See you at the library!

Go to the link below and let us know which series you’d like at add. SWORD ART ONLINE? BLACK BUTLER? What’s your fave?  Which series should we add to?
